SES attended the 15th Annual European CME Forum

November 29, 2022

Beth Mitchell (Senior Project Director) and Claire Aukim-Hastie (Scientific Services Director) recently had the pleasure of attending the 15th Annual European CME Forum in Barcelona, ES. This was a jam-packed 3-day event, with the theme of reevaluating European and global CME-CPD.

Day 1 kicked off with sessions focused on innovation and impact, as well as interactive workshops about how to incorporate the patient voice into education for healthcare professionals. This session walked the group through design thinking and the importance of working with patients as educators in programs from the initial conception. Through a mixture of plenary sessions, panel debates, and workshops, Day 2 discussed the culture of learning and finding the “magic middle” when designing and delivering educations. Some top tips from grantors on applications to supporters were also provided. It was exciting to see our Lupus Hub Chair, Ricard Cervera in attendance.

The final day wrapped up the informative meeting with discussions about CME around the world and how as a community we can collaborate together to reach our destination. Discussing the event, Beth Mitchell, Senior Project Director at SES, said:

“I thoroughly enjoyed attending the CME Forum; the sessions were very informative and engaging. It was a fantastic opportunity to network with like-minded organizations and meet people in person! I feel excited about putting all the learnings into action and look forward to utilizing all the great resources to build on our educational programs.”
