Partnerships Update-February 2022
July 26, 2022
We are happy to introduce the SES Partnerships team, headed by Partnerships Director Ken Zangina. The team, comprising Ken, Emma Williams, Geoff Jones, and Dr Poh Pang, forge relationships with new and existing industry stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of our IME platforms and patient programs. The team are always on the search for new connections and contacts to grow the global footprint of our medical education and patient awareness platforms.
“Bolt On” initiatives
We are pleased to have secured the first supporters for the following newly launched bespoke education initiatives. We are seeking additional grants from industry to ensure that these initiatives have credible representation across the scope of therapies.
“Beyond JAK inhibition: Novel agents for the treatment of advanced myelofibrosis”
This clinical trials club is a live webinar series where members of our MPN steering committee are joined by a guest author/lead investigator of a relevant publication/clinical trial. Clinical trial clubs effectively support HCPs in understanding what the latest news means for clinical practice. They offer the ideal solution to address a key learning gap of “suboptimal knowledge of novel therapeutic targets in MPN.”
“Holistic pain management in multiple myeloma”
This accredited digital symposium provides the ideal solution to support pain management education in the care of patients with multiple myeloma. This digital event will offer learners the opportunity to learn more about patient needs, holistic pain management, and treatment considerations, and will present the most up-to-date information.
Please contact the Partnerships team if you would like to learn more about supporting these education initiatives.
MDS Right Global Guidelines
Partnered with the MDS Foundation, SES is pleased to support the project management of the MDS Right Global Guidelines update. We are thankful to our latest supporter AbbVie whose support, in addition to Geron and Takeda, will allow for this critical work to progress.
If you would like further information, or would like to support this project, please contact Senior Partnership Manager Geoff Jones
New Supporters
AML Hub – Thermo fisher: We are thrilled to announce that we have our first diagnostic company supporting the AML Hub at Bronze level. We would like to thank ThermoFisher for their support of independent medical education, and we hope that this reaffirms the key role diagnostic stakeholders play in ensuring patients with AML receive the most appropriate treatment.
Lymphoma Hub – Pharmacyclics: This organization has a strong heritage in treating chronic lymphocytic leukemia and have chosen to support the Lymphoma Hub at Gold level. This significant level of funding will result in the availability of further materials on lymphoma treatment and research.
Lupus Hub – GSK: Lupus Hub is launching in 2022, and we are excited to announce that we have our first supporter for the hub—GSK—at Platinum level. This is fantastic news, and we look forward to welcoming an accompanying supporter to ensure that this platform can be launched as a multi-supported initiative in 2022.
MDS Hub – BMS: We are pleased to confirm that BMS will be continuing their support for the MDS Hub at Bronze level. We would like to thank BMS for their steadfast support of this key platform.
Congress summary reports
The Partnership team recently shared the congress summary reports for ASH with our Gold and Platinum IME supporters. These reports include key insights related to ASH, including
- recommendations from the Lymphoma Hub steering committee for the top abstracts in lymphoma and CLL from ASH 2021;
- the Top 5 communications that gained the most engagement during live congress coverage, based on the number of impressions and engagement on Twitter; and
- tailored engagement statistics from the Lymphoma and CLL community in relation to specific supporter content.
These reports are a great way for our supporters to gain further insights into specific disease areas and how the content produced for the hubs is received by the community. If access to these reports will be of utility in the future, please speak with a member of the Partnerships team on partnerships@scientificeducationsupport.com to discuss how we can provide these reports, which would be tailored to your organization.
