Together through GvHD: Know GvHD marked GvHD Day 2026 with a campaign of connection and hope

A global moment for the GvHD community

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Know GvHD was proud to once again support GvHD Day — a worldwide moment dedicated to amplifying the voices of people living with graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) and the caregivers who stand beside them. This year's campaign, Together through GvHD, was built on three simple but powerful ideas: connection, understanding, and hope.

What the campaign offered

At the heart of this year's activity was a commitment to making sure no patient or caregiver felt alone. Know GvHD brought together a wide range of supportive resources and peer networks, including:

  • A dedicated patient-led WhatsApp group, hosted by our patient ambassadors
  • Curated links to trusted support groups for survivors, partners, parents, and the bereaved
  • Access to one-on-one peer support and mental health provider directories
  • Downloadable and orderable awareness materials — including A3 posters, A4 home-print posters, and business cards for BMT centers, hospitals, clinics, and societies

Getting the community involved

The wider community was invited to help raise visibility by displaying Know GvHD materials in clinical settings and sharing photos on social media using #GVHDDay, #GVHDAlliance, and #GVHDConnect4Hope. Every poster placed and every conversation started helped another patient find the support they needed at a pivotal moment.

We remain enormously proud of the role Know GvHD continues to play in connecting this resilient global community.
